How I told my entire Facebook list about my steamy workout

"Get Facebook" friends had said. Even my Mum had told me I would love it, although she did warn me to be careful, something I should definitely have paid heed to. I have never been one for technology and I’m often being ribbed for not being to operate the Sky TV remote, or even turn on the computer so when faced with the seemingly daunting lay out of the infamous Facebook, my confusion quickly turned into embarrassment as I ended up telling my entire friends list (including my Mother) about a night of passion I had with my personal trainer.

It happened last month. I had only signed up a couple of days before and still hadn’t grasped the whole ‘status’, and ‘wall’ stuff and my friend had sent me a private message asking me for juicy details on a date I had been on the night before. However, instead of writing back to the message privately, I thought I would just try out the whole ‘wall’ thing and was quite excited to be writing on someone’s page for the first time. Now, I have to make it clear at this point, that I actually believed that writing on somebody’s page was a private way of communicating. However, this is immaterial given that I wrote the message on my own status for all to see.

My friend had wanted juicy so I gave her juicy, discussing size, position, even admitting that I was finding it hard to sit down, and once I had sent the message, oblivious to the fact I was telling all my friends and family, I simply logged off and went about my day. However, after logging on a few hours later, to my absolute horror, I had 30 status comments, varying from ‘Oh my god Marie!’ to ‘hoe bag’. However, the comment that stopped me breathing momentarily was from my own MUM!! ‘Darling, I don’t need to say much here do I, I think you are now embarrassed enough, but I did warn you of the dangers of Facebook’. I wanted to curl up and die!
